Celebrating Rāma navami

In the Viṣṇu Sahasranāma (1000 names of Lord Viṣṇu), we chant one verse:

Īśvara said, “I revel in Rāma who has a beautiful face.
This name of Rāma is equal to these thousand names”.

I will share this verse with you along with its clever calculation of how one arrives at 1000 names, just by one recitation of this verse.

This year my teacher has also suggested a “Likhita Japa” – a written offering for this special occasion, I look forward to sharing instructions with you in this class!
